HP has released a teaser video of the new Windows 7 slate PC, first demonstrated during the Microsoft CES 2010 keynote.
There are a number of companies currently working on Slate computers and this one seems to be one of the more feasable initiatives. Personally I don't have a lot of faith in this form factor at this stage. Especially beyond reasonably meanial tasks such as web browsing. Microsoft Security Essentials will be a free real time malware protection provided to replace the One Care package that Microsoft currently has available. | Recently Microsoft and their main competitor in the consumer space Apple announced the prices of their upcoming Operating Systems. Windows 7 and Snow Leopard respectively. The prices from a simple standing point look as follows.
Windows 7 will cost anywhere from $50 to $120. Snow Leopard will cost $29 as far as Apple's marketing department is concerned.
